After several years of searching , the Wolverine Skyhawks have entered into an agreement with Waste Management to develop an RC flying site on the closed State Disposal Landfill at 3910 East Beltline NE in Plainfield Township. In July 2023, the club began work on the runway, and installed 4 rolls of US Fabrics US230 Aeromodeling Fabric. A small parking area was created, and fabric was purchased to expand it in the future. Safety benches were restored, stained, and delivered to the site. There is a lot more work to complete, but the club is looking forward to many successful flights in the future!
